Having a medical emergency? Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room right away.
After-hours care
When our Primary Care Clinics are closed, a provider is on call for urgent needs.
To reach the on-call provider, call our main line at (317) 291-7422 to be connected with our after-hours messaging center. Please allow time for someone to return your call, and be available when they call back.
Your own provider may not be on call, but any Shalom provider can access your full medical record to give you the best advice. You'll be asked for:
- Patient's name and date of birth
- A short description of the medical issue
- Your provider's name
- All medications you take, including dosages
- A 24-hour pharmacy phone number
When to use after-hours care
For medical advice when your illness or injury won't cause long-term harm.
If you need after-hours care, call us right away at (317) 291-7422. Examples include:
- Earache, sore throat, cold & flu symptoms
- Fever and headache
- Infections and sinus infections
- Minor cuts, burns, and sprains
- Diarrhea, vomiting, and rashes
- Insect bites and moderate pain
The on-call provider will assess your needs and help you decide what's next — advice, or a referral to urgent care or the ER depending on severity.
